Antimony Trioxide (ATO)
Antimony Trioxide is a critical flame-retardant synergist widely used in the plastics, textiles, electronics, and rubber industries. While ATO is not a flame retardant on its own, it dramatically enhances the performance of halogen-based compounds by promoting char formation and suppressing flame spread. This makes it indispensable in applications like cable insulation, electrical housings, upholstery fabrics, and automotive polymers, where fire safety standards are essential. ATO is also used as a white pigment and fining agent in glass, ceramics, and speciality coatings.
